Every year the Creature obstacle at the Vans Downtown Showdown gets some kind of recognition. Last year it was Omar Hassan getting scalped, this year its just the fact that it may be the coolest skateboard obstacle ever invented. A high five goes out to the genius that invented this obstacle... check out the video for all of the crazy stuff that goes down.

Lucas Puig is the next big thing in Lakai. Hes got his first pro shoe coming out in Spring of 09, and hes also going to be in the next EA Skate. Big things coming from Lucas... big things.

The Girl/Antihero Beauty and the Beast dvd should be in shops shortly. Girl and Antihero toured the Northwest together and are now releasing a dvd. I dont know about you guys, but Harsh Euro Barge was one of my favorite tour videos ever. So this one is definitely up there for videos i want to see.

Billy Marks teaches you how to perfect such moves that will allow you to star next to Derek Zoolander and Hansel in the next Mugatu show. I dont know if its as good as Magnum, but its a start.

HANDBOARDING?! NOT JUST FOR FUN ANYMORE!

Element is coming out with a new video titled "Bams or Bust".The video will follow the Element team on a trip to Bams house. Do you guys remember Bam? Well hes got his own personal skatepark, a crazy mini ramp, with a built in mini megaramp, plus all the atvs and other toys you can dream of. Who wouldnt want to take a trip to Bams house? October 1st is the release date scheduled for the video. Itll sure be entertaining if nothing else.

In case you didnt know it, David Gravette is now pro for Creature Skateboards. His part in the last Transworld video "And Now" was amazing. Hes been skating some big shit for a long time now, and this move to the pro ranks was definitely well deserved. Congrats David... keep shredding!

Ive been slacking on the skate media lately, but something has come up that I cannot possibly pass up the chance to share with you guys. Not only is skating at an all new level these days, but the production values in skate videos has gone through the roof. Long gone are the Video Days where you rented a VHS camcorder for a day to film whatever it was that you could. Nowadays there plans for everything, all the way from specific shots needed for the intro, all the way to skaters planning specific tricks to film as their ender enders. You can bet your ass some serious planning went into this. Hopefully theyll continue with this tradition and keep making these each year. Take a look at the DVS Skate & Create. You may remember the name from the old Theory deck that Roger Cameron did!

How would you like to win $100,000 skateboarding? Well thats exactly what P-Rod did in this past weekends Maloof Money Cup. This video contains some of the worlds BEST skateboarders all hopping down 16 stairs at once. Certainly there could be a case for either Nyjah or Chris Cole winning this thing. Its about 10 minutes long and its not the best filming, but its definitely well worth watching!
